Back in 1996, Adrian Eyre started Soccer In Sun Tournaments. Alex Trettin stepped in to \u201cKeep The Dream Alive\u201d after Adrian\u2019s unfortunate and sudden passing in 1999. We honor Adrian\u2019s memory by making fair play our first priority and constantly curating the quality of our participating teams, the competition between them, securing the best available fields, and taking pride in our dedicated staff. 2018 was Copa de Mayo’s inaugural year in the Soccer In Sun Tournament lineup. Copa de Mayo is a 3-day tournament, presented by Soccer In Sun, to be held for 3 days over Cinco de Mayo weekend. Teams will play in 5 divisions ranging in ages from 35 and Over to 60 and Over. Copa de Mayo hopes to draw teams from all over the world, offering great competition for teams in all levels of play. Copa de Mayo is all about competing with your team, the game of soccer and having a great time on the pitch. The tournament will be a full sided 11v11 event for the 35 and Over to the 60 and Over groups.<\/p>

Games officially start at 8:00am on Saturday, to end by 10pm that day. Last games will be held by noon on Monday.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In addition to each team completing the initial INSCRIPCI\u00d3N DE EQUIPOS<\/a>, all players must complete\u00a0INSCRIPCI\u00d3N DE JUGADORES<\/a>\u00a0for their team(s) in order to play in Copa de Mayo. Final Roster will be printed the Friday prior to the tournament. Player additions made after Friday morning will incur a $20.00 fee per player. Players that qualify for Over 35, Over 40, Over 48, Over 55, and Over 60 must turn the appropriate age for their bracket within the current tournament year. All players MUST bring valid, government-issued ID to the field each day of play. ID scanners will be utilized to maintain tournament integrity and random ID checks will be performed. All players are allowed to play for multiple teams, as long as the player meets the age requirement for each team AND each team they register for resides in a different division.
